Real Madrid will intensify their negotiations for Angel di Maria and Douglas Maicon this week. AS says Real directors do not want things to drag on and will attempt to speed up talks with Benfica for Argentina winger Di Maria and Inter Milan over Brazil fullback Maicon.
Di Maria is closer to sealing a move to Madrid, with Real having already agreed terms over a €25 million fee, which will rise to €30 million based on appearances and success. Benfica chief Rui Costa admitted on Sunday that "the agreement will be settled in the coming days".
Maicon will be working on Inter president Massimo Moratti to drop his €35 million asking price. Real see a fee of €25 million being more realistic for the almost 30 year-old fullback.
