Real Madrid hero Uli Stielike is upset for Gareth Bale over his injury woes.
Bale has aggravated a calf injury on international duty with Wales, which will leave him sidelined until Christmas.
Stielike scored 51 goals in 338 games for Real.
He told AS: "Man, it's a shame, because being at 100 percent physically he forms a perfect attack with Cristiano (Ronaldo). Of course, it is also painful for the club, because it has paid a lot of money for a player who they can not put on the field.
"There is increasing pressure towards the player. The problem I see in clubs is that doctors do not accept having opinions from other specialists. If as a club I have a player who is worth a lot and in my house they do not hit the spot, I'll have to go somewhere else, or two, to find the best. And do not be ashamed of it, because in the end it's your capital, your money."
Asked if Bale lacks courage with his injury problems, Stielike added: "I dont know. (Arjen) Robben was injured a lot in Madrid and Bayern recovered him. There he played many more games than with Madrid. The same is necessary to look for the reason of that fact.
"Let him open the door, visit three or four trusted doctors. And if three of the four coincide, go that way ..."
