Former Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes says Cristiano Ronaldo deserves the Ballon d'Or.
Morientes is now working with the youth teams at Real.
"For me and for many people there is no doubt that Cristiano deserves the Ballon d'Or. He's a special player who has had an exceptional calendar year, not only in terms of goals, but in terms of numbers in every way and as a matchwinner.
"When a player is so crucial in every way and inspires not only his club team, but also his national team, he is the clear candidate.
"Cristiano can be at the moment the best player in the world without any problem."
