Getafe coach Michel has questioned whether Real Madrid should have splashed out on Karim Benzema.

The former Real captain rates Alvaro Negredo ahead of Benzema and said: "I do not know if Benzema could score 30 goals for a team like Almeria. I know Negredo has and he has my total respect.

"Hopefully, Negredo won't have to leave Madrid. Though, it will be difficult with so many good players at the club who play in his position."
