Real Madrid have been encouraged by Wagner Ribeiro's involvement in the affairs of Sao Paulo defender Breno.

The 18 year-old is a top target for Real, but is also attracting big interest from Serie A clubs. However, the addition of Ribeiro as a consultant to Breno's entourage could swing a deal in Real's favour.

Ribeiro also has Real star Robinho on his books and boasts a good relationship with the club's board.

"I am helping Breno's father," said Ribeiro, "who is his real agent.

"There are some interesting offers for the player. We know that Sao Paulo do not want to sell, but it's known that the great Brazilian club always needs to sell it's best players. Just wait, Breno's transfer is just a matter of time."
