Real Madrid have £70M 'confidential agreement' for Man Utd ace Ronaldo

Spanish press reports suggest Real Madrid have a locked in agreement with Manchester United for winger Cristiano Ronaldo. AS says there is a 'contract of confidentiality' between Real Madrid, Manchester United and Ronaldo, which was signed last summer. If there is any public confirmation of the deal from any of the parties involved, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will be allowed to rip up the agreement.

The deal involved is worth £7.5 million to Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes. Ronaldo will earn £10 million-a-year and the transfer will cost Real around £70 million.

However, while the deal is reportedly on the table, everything will be decided by the next Real president.

Florentino Perez is yet to declare his candidacy, while the one man who has put his hand up, Eugenio Martinez Bravo, isn't interested in Ronaldo and would prefer to sign more Spanish players.
