Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata accepted his first-half substitution in victory over Rayo Vallecano.

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata accepted his first-half substitution in victory over Rayo Vallecano.

Despite scoring, Morata was taken off by coach Jose Mourinho on 27 minutes after Sergio Ramos' dismissal.

"Sometimes you have to live these strange circumstances. These things happen, you have to be OK about it, there will be another game," said Morata.

"Mourinho told me that it is what it is, it is an honour for me to be part of this squad and to win."
