Real Madrid are chasing Chelsea pair Didier Drogba and Michael Essien.
The Mirror says the Spanish giants have already targeted Didier Drogba and are confident of getting the unsettled Chelsea striker.
But sports chief Pedja Mijatovic also enquired about Essien this week after talks with Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon.
Chelsea are desperate to keep Essien but Real Madrid are prepared to test their resolve by making it clear they would pay up to £25million to make him their midfield kingpin next season.
