Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano says their buying spree will continue after the capture of Benfica winger Angel di Maria. The Argentina international was confirmed as a Real signing yesterday.
"He was interesting us last season, but Jose Mourinho wanted a player of his characteristics and this accelerated our interest," said Valdano.
"He's a player who meets all the conditions for a midfielder and can attack with great ability. He opens the pitch, has great pace and is also a very courageous guy. He will help a lot over of the season."
Valdano added: "We are watching the market, but we are seeing a lot of high prices.
"But surely Di Maria will not be our last signing. We will do one or two more signings, no more."
