Real Madrid GM Jose Angel Sanchez has told Iker Casillas they are happy for him to stay next season.
With Keylor Navas on the books, Casillas' future is in doubt with Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea expected to sign for Real this summer.
But Sanchez assured Casillas he had the management's backing in a crunch meeting on Monday.
"If you want to stay in Madrid, you stay. We will count on you next season," Sanchez told the Real captain.
However, should Casillas stay, it will not change Real plans to sign De Gea in the coming weeks.
