Real Madrid fullback Dani Carvajal was delighted with victory at Espanyol.

Carvajal says Los Blancos' perfect start to the 2016/17 season is largely a response to the disappointment suffered in the last campaign.

"LaLiga has just started, we're in Week 5 of 38, and we only think of taking three points as we saw last year that eventually we lost by a single point. This season, we won't give any away," the right-back told the press.

"It's a nice record to match the 16 victories [of Barcelona in 2010/11], but we must think game by game and now look to three points on Wednesday against Villarreal. The record is a reflection of the great work by [Zinedine] Zidane and the players."
