Real Madrid are weighing up a bid for Zenit St Petersburg attacker Andrei Arshavin.

With Wesley Sneijder struggling with injury and Robinho sold to Manchester City, Real are in need for a creative spark to their midfield and Arshavin is under consideration.

Real coach Bernd Schuster admitted yesterday that they would be active in the January market if the right player becomes available.
