Real Madrid are eyeing Standard Liege midfielder Steven Defour.

Marca says Real have the young Belgium international under consideration as a potential alternative to prime transfer target Xabi Alonso, the Liverpool midfielder.

Standard rate Defour in the £18 million class and have also fielded enquiries from Aston Villa and Arsenal about the youngster.
