Real Madrid are eyeing Empoli midfielder Matheus Pereira.

UOL.com says Real have been tracking Pereira since the 2015 U17 World Cup.

The midfielder is tied to Juventus, though this season is on-loan with Empoli.

Real have plans to sign Pereira in January initially for their Castilla team before he is eventually groomed for the senior squad.

Real will use the example of Casemiro to convince Pereira and his family of the career path they have mapped out for him.
