Chelsea refuse to give up the battle for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski. Lewandowski is expected to move to Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
But El Confidencial says Chelsea and Real Madrid are preparing to test Dortmund's resolve in January.
Indeed, the paper suggest that while Real Madrid consider Lewandowski a potentially cheaper alternative to Liverpool's Luis Suarez or Manchester City's Sergio Aguero they are not willing to match Chelsea in the matter.
Jose Mourinho, on the other hand, senses a bargain and an opportunity to get one over on old rival Pep Guardiola - now at Bayern - and is prepared to tell Dortmund to name their price for Lewandowski in January - and meet the player's wage demands - to pull off an unlikely coup.
