Real Madrid have dropped their pursuit of Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao.

Real recently met with Falcao's agent, Jorge Mendes, to discuss the prospect of a move across town this summer.

However, Cadena Cope says Real officials were disappointed with Mendes' insistence on an €8 million-a-year contract for the deal to happen.

Real find the demands too rich and are now pursuing other striker targets.
