Real Madrid demand Maicon in Inter Milan offer for Sneijder

Real Madrid are demanding Douglas Maicon be included in Inter Milan's offer for Wesley Sneijder. The two clubs are locked in advanced talks over a deal which would see Sneijder start the new season at the San Siro.

Jose Mourinho, the Inter coach, insists Maicon is untouchable, but Tuttoport says Real are pushing for Maicon to be included in their offer.

For now, Inter have offered £12 million cash - which falls well short of Real's asking price.

Meanwhile, Inter hope to close an agreement for FC Twente striker Marko Arnautovic on Wednesday. The deal will be for a 12 month loan with the option to sign permanently for £7 million next June.

Former Inter star Aldo Serena welcomes the Austrian's arrival, warning: "Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o are super, but without Julio Cruz they are missing attacking alternatives."
