Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol turned down Man City move

Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol rejected a move to Manchester City in January.

Albiol, who is also admired by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, was offered the chance to join the revolution at City, says El Confidencial.

But he surprised Real staff by rejecting the move, instead choosing to remain in Madrid. This despite being warned by Spain coach Vicente del Bosque that he won't be considered for the Euros unless he's playing regularly.
