Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has rejected an approach from Manchester United.
Marca says Varane has rejected the advances of the Premier League outfit to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It claims that newly-appointed United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to reunite with the French centre back, having signed him at Real from Lens during his time in the hotseat there in 2012.
Mourinho reportedly made his intentions directly to Varane to bring him to Old Trafford in a £33million (€40m) bid but his personal plea has been rebuffed.
Varane said no after 'thinking very seriously' about the proposal and his situation at Real, where he remains third-choice centre back behind captain Sergio Ramos and the long-serving Pepe.
