Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos says Cristiano Ronaldo proved himself superior to Lionel Messi after last night's Copa win at Barcelona.

Even the local Catalan press this morning acknowledged Ronaldo was head-and-shoulders the better performer when compared with the Barca ace.

"He is the best player in the world and has shown he cannot be criticized for anything," Ramos said of his teammate last night.

"We leave with the satisfaction of a job well done, the result is well deserved."
