Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos admits he had a bitter battle with Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao for Saturday's derby win.

Ramos was able to silence the Colombian ace on the night.

"There are plenty of cameras to see what happened, but these things stay on the pitch.

"There are match like these, with struggles and battles and Atlético have players who keep possession well and they like to battle and that is a part of football as well. With regard to things outside of the game's rules and that can damage the game's image, but that's what the cameras are there for. I didn't elbow Falcao. He's a footballer I respect a lot," said Ramos.
