Sergio Ramos insists Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini does not deserve blame for last night's Champions League exit. Lyon dumped Real out of Europe 2-1 on aggregate after drawing 1-1 at the Bernabeu.

"There is no question of blaming the coach ahead of any one player. There are many ways of seeing things, but we are the primary culprits. We are distressed at the elimination and it has been a very difficult night, but we must be strong to stay united," said Ramos.

"We created chances, but could not get the goals we needed. We can survive this."
