Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo has suffered a new injury setback.
Marca says Real coach Julen Lopetegui had been planning to give Vallejo a chance to shine at Real Madrid in the 2018/19 season, however tests have confirmed that the defender has suffered a fibrillar rupture and will miss a month.
The Spanish defender suffered the injury in the warm-up ahead of Los Blancos' final pre-season friendly against Roma in the United States of America.
Upon his return to Madrid medical tests were carried out to fully determine the extent of the ailment, with it confirmed that a grade two rupture was present in his left leg.
