Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho has announced his international retirement from Portugal.
The former Chelsea stopper made the decision after feeling he was "not being respected" by Portugal chiefs.
"I feel great physically and mentally, as I have shown performing in Madrid and Portugal.
"If they feel I am not good enough to be in their squad they should tell me, the only option I have is to leave," said Carvalho.
