Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol says Cristiano Ronaldo should be allowed to recover from his ankle injury in his own time.

"Cristiano's injury is not good news. He was in discomfort and could not finish the game (against Hungary)," said the former Valencia defender.

"It is a major injury and I believe we should let him recover well and not force it. It is best to recover in the right way and hopefully join us as soon as he can, but in good health and with the ankle fully recovered."
