Chelsea have made a £25m bid for the Brazil striker, 24, but Real have a £120m buy-out clause in his contract.

His agent, Wagner Ribeiro, revealed: "Robinho told Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic that (Luiz Felipe) Scolari had invited him to play for Chelsea.

"When Scolari calls it is a big honour for the player and Robinho admires him very much.

"Robinho hopes this can now all be worked out. Scolari is the man he wants to play for."

Riberio said Robinho was upset at being used as a possible player exchange for Cristiano Ronaldo.

He said: "The situation about Ronaldo started this. He was very unhappy."
