Real Madrid are considering a January bid for Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez.
The Germany international is suddenly on the agenda for Real sports chief Pedja Mijatovic over fitness concerns for Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Real will have to find £15 million to land Gomez in the winter market.
