Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is prepared to phase out Gareth Bale next season.

Don Balon says Zidane was left unimpressed by Bale's form and fitness last term and believes he already has a readymade replacement.

The Frenchman sees Theo Hernandez, who is arriving from Atletico Madrid, as a player to develop into an attacking left-sided midfielder.

Theo will join Real as a left-back, but Zidane is prepared to back the youngster as Bale's long-term replacement should the Welshman not turn his form around next season.

There has been talk of Theo being immediately being loaned out, but Zidane is now having a rethink with Bale in his sights.
