Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has told president Florentino Perez to drop his pursuit of Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
Perez has been in talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy for several months about a deal for Kane, who is rated in the €200m class by his London club. There are also claims of Kane having settled on personal terms with Perez.
However, Diario Gol says Zidane is dead against Kane's arrival, insisting he's not the right type of attacker they need. The Frenchman sees Cristiano Ronaldo as his centre-forward and believes Real need a more versatile attacker to work around the Portuguese.
And the player he has put forward is Liverpool sensation Mohamed Salah, who intermediaries have also told Zidane could be prised away from Liverpool for much less than the €200m Levy has quoted Perez for Kane.
