Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has admitted his admiration for Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah.

The Egypt international has been linked to Real after a stunning start to his Reds career.

"He's a great player," French coach Zidane said.

"First at Roma and now at Liverpool.

"He's an important footballer and he's growing more and more, he's young and I appreciate him a lot."

Egypt coach Hector Cuper has already suggested that Los Blancos want to add Salah to their ranks.

"I have received confirmed news that Real Madrid are interested in signing Salah," the Argentine said on Egyptian television.
