Real Madrid coach Zidane defends treatment of Chelsea, Man City target Isco

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has defended his management of Isco.

Isco, following his hat-trick in Spain's friendly win over Argentina, sparked talk of a move to Chelsea or Manchester City this week after criticism of Zidane's treatment of him.

But the Real coach declared this morning: “Isco is a Real Madrid player and he is staying here.

“His comments do not bother me, we have a relationship and he is honest about his situation, but this is not a problem and it is important we work together to find his best version.

“The media always like to take words and invent stories but we both know the situation and there is no concern."

He added: "I am not unfair to Isco.

"He is happy, maybe he doesn't have the same role here (than with Spain), but I have shown to him that he is an important player for the team.

“I'm happy for the performance he had against Argentina."
