Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane insists there's more to his selection than Gareth Bale.

Bale is again spending more time on the bench than on the pitch, despite his return to full fitness.

Ahead of their clash with Alaves, Zidane said: "Bale is an important player in this squad and he always will be.

"He is in a process of training and working his way back into the team, bit by bit.

"What I am interested in is the team and the squad, not just one player."
