Real Madrid coach Schuster plays down preseason wobbles

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has shrugged off their scratchy preseason form.

After victory on Thursday night at Cadiz, Schuster said: "Of course we have not reached the level we wanted to achieve, but that's normal.

"We still need time and the current results are of relative importance."

Madrid face their first real test of the season on Sunday when they host Sevilla in the second leg of the Supercopa needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit.

"The games we have played so far have only served us as practise for Sunday's encounter and the league," said Schuster.

"We still have a lot to do but for us the real tests begin now."
