Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster admits his players failed to make the most of last night's victory over BATE Borisov.
Real won 2-0 through goals from Sergio Ramos and Ruud van Nistelrooy, but Schuster conceded the margin should have been much greater.
The German said: "After a good start, we lowered the pressure, perhaps relaxed after having created so many chances. If we had to score five goals to achieve our target, surely we would have done so.
"We have lost a great opportunity to highlight more goals and make the Bernabeu fun for the fans.
"I did not put the brake on them. You'll have to ask the players why things dropped off after the first goal.
"I'm not angry, but we missed many chances."
Asked about the faltering partnership of midfielders Rafael van der Vaart and Guti on the night, Schuster said: "I'm not worried."
