Real Madrid coach Juande Ramos attempted to excuse his players after last night's dismal 3-1 defeat to Real Mallorca.
"It's difficult to play football without motivation and this team, after losing the chance of winning the League to Barcelona, have suffered a psychological relaxation," shrugged Ramos.
"I think the team, knowing that there was no chance of dropping to third place, has lost motivation for these final games. And when you play without tension it is possible that such situations arise.
"I have bad taste in the mouth because we have lost.
"I do not blame anyone. When there is a need to win, we've played with more tension. Everybody wants to win but if we win we are still second and if we lose, the same. When you have nothing to aim for, no one gives the best of himself."
