Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has played down critical comments from Cristiano Ronaldo after their defeat of Osasuna.

Following the narrow 3-2 win, Ronaldo declared every player had performed poorly.

"Every player of Madrid has his own interpretation, but the squad knows what he thinks of each one of them and there were no bad intentions," said Pellegrini.

"Each player makes his statements based on what one thinks at that time, with its positives and negatives. Everyone wants to read too much into these comments."
