Manuel Pellegrini begins work at Real Madrid today.
The Chilean will be in Madrid this morning after a summer break in Santiago and his first task will be to identify at least six senior players he feels he can do without for next season. The former Villarreal coach is understood to have already informed Real chiefs that he's prepared to lose Alvaro Negredo and Ezequiel Garay.
Pellegrini will take his first training session on Friday.
