Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho remains unsure of landing Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric.

Modric is waiting anxiously over his move to Madrid.

"I can't really say a lot more. The market closes too late. It's good for everyone to know the definitive squad before beginning the championship," said Mourinho.

"We've begun playing and there are lots of things which may change. But that's the way it is and you just have to accept it.

"The only thing that's changed over recent days is Nuri's situation and where he's going to play this season. Everything else continues as it was."
