Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has paid a glowing tribute to president Florentino Perez.

Mourinho was pleased with the support he received from Real members last week during the club Assembly.

"There is only a theory and what I was pleased to read was the word of veterans where they say that the culture of this club is sweating and fighting to the end for results ... This has been my greatest joy because it means I'm close to the philosophy of the club," said Mourinho.

"I am not surprised by the president's words because I know what he wants. As Real Madrid coach, there may have been some better than Mourinho, but there cannot be a better president than Florentino."
