Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho was delighted with their Champions League win over Lyon.

Real Madrid joined domestic rivals Barcelona in guaranteeing their qualification for the Champions League knockout stages as two Cristiano Ronaldo goals gave Mourinho's men a 2-0 victory at Lyon on Wednesday night.

Mourinho said: "It's normal to feel pressure in football when you have so many chances on goal and fail to score, but you also just think that goals will eventually arrive. We gave a serious and solid performance against an opponent that gave its all. This victory is very important because it has qualified us for the next round. We will now fight to do so as group leaders.

"We're doing important things, but I want these things to be normal at Real Madrid. I want it to be normal for us to win here and that we're always top seeders in the Champions League draw. I want to experience these moments with normalcy and satisfaction. This team has the most important history in football, so these moments should be regarded as normal, not extraordinary."
