Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho insists Ricardo Carvalho doesn't need to leave.

The veteran defender is expected to move on in the summer.

"My opinion regarding Carvalho is that he is too good not to be a starter. He's won the league title in Portugal, England and Spain with me and we'll decide what's best for him," said Mourinho.
