Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui is keen on Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso.

After allowing Theo Hernandez to leave for Real Sociedad on-loan, Lopetegui is keen on a new fullback signing.

The new Real coach is a big fan of Alonso, having called him into his Spain squad last season, and would welcome his arrival before the end of the month.

Alonso's versatility is also attractive to Lopetegui, who has been rocked by last night's European Super Cup defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea are likely to fight to keep hold of Alonso, however, despite the presence of Emerson Palmieri.
