Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui has dismissed claims from Leo Messi this week.

The Barcelona superstar has declared Real will be weaker this season after losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.

But Lopetegui argued: "I will not catalog what I could say, those who know the players of Real Madrid know ..."

Asked about FIFA's The Best award, Lopetegui was sure who should win.

"I would give it to our player, (Luka) Modric, I have made it very clear," he added.
