Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez was tightlipped today over the on-off deal for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

Benitez had expected to welcome De Gea to the Santiago Bernabeu today, but the transfer fell through on Monday night.

The Real coach joined Diego Simeone, of Atletico Madrid, and Sevilla's Unai Emery on a jet for Nyon this morning for a UEFA coaching seminar.

Asked by reporters for a comment on De Gea, Benitez would only say: "Obviously, I have no comment."
