Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has been handed a two-match touchline ban.
The Competition Committee of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced on Wednesday it has punished the Italian coach for his actions in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Valencia.
Spanish referee Carlos Clos Gomez wrote on his report that after the game, Ancelotti "from 30 metres away applauded insistently and visibly as a sign of disapproval for his officiating" - a violation of article 117 of the disciplinary code.
Real are second in the standings and four points adrift of league leaders Barcelona.
