Real Madrid chiefs Zidane and Florentino agree on January striker: Shortlist drawn up

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane and president Florentino Perez are 100 per cent agreed - they need to sign a striker in January.

Cristiano Ronaldo's suspension and Karim Benzema's thigh injury has Real hitting the panic button with Borja Mayoral the only recognised No9 available to Zidane.

Don Balon says the coach and president are now agreed that a new forward must be found over the winter market and shortlist is being drawn up.

High on the agenda is RB Leipzig whizkid Timo Werner, but Real could also splash out on an experienced name.

Bayern Munich's unsettled Thomas Muller is under consideration, along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund. Ajax's Kasper Dolberg is another being discussed at the Santiago Bernabeu this week.
