Real Madrid executive managing director Jose Angel Sanchez has been quick to deny quotes attributed to him over interest in Liverpool defender Dan Agger. Sanchez insists "Real Madrid is absolutely not interested in signing Agger, or any other defender for that matter".

The Real director also says he spoke with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez this morning to assure him that the reports were wrong and that there is no interest in Denmark international Agger.
