Real Madrid sports chief Predrag Mijatovic has hinted they've ended their interest in Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

He said: "We held talks with Manchester United and they were not prepared to let him go.

"Yes we tried to sign him but we got a negative response.

"The player said he wanted to come but it wasn't to be, and that's the beginning and end of the whole story."
