Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic is ready to bring forward plans to sign Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

AS says Mijatovic had planned to secure Huntelaar to a five-year contract - starting on the 1st of July 2009. However, with Ajax being knocked out of the Champions League playoffs this week, Mijatovic is ready to pounce now for the unsettled Dutchman.

Huntelaar won't consider staying with Ajax without Champions League football next season and the prolific forward remains Mijatovic's No1 attacking transfer target.
