Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno felt Isco was back to his best for victory over Espanyol.

Isco was superb for the 2-0 win on Sunday.

Butragueno stated: "He is inspired and with a very high level of confidence, he was the best, he scored twice. His confidence and authority when he has the ball is very high. He improves every year."

Butragueno also offered an update on Dani Carvajal's illness.

"He has a virus, pericarditis, and within a week they will do another test to make a new assessment. In principle it does not seem serious but you have to be cautious."
